Auch wenn der Akku im Büro lädt, die App informiert über den aktuellen Standort des Rollers.Im Test stimmte die via App geschätze Reichweite mit der tatsächlichen Reichweite überein.
Ab 15% Ladekapazität schaltet das System auf den ECO-Mode und der Roller fährt nur noch 17 km/h. Das ist nicht viel, aber besser als Liegenbleiben.

2017: Es gibt Straßen in Berlin, da stehen gefühlt 50 Coup-Roller an einer Ecke und warten darauf ausgeliehen zu werden. Über das Stadtbild verteilt sieht man auch die roten Emmys. Beides E-Scooter Sharinganbieter. Wer einen E-Scooter sein Eigen nennen will, bekommt für knappe 2700 Euro einen NIU N1S. Kann das denn zu dem Preis etwas Vernünftiges sein?
Die Frage kann ich nach 14 Tagen Testfahrt mit einem klaren „Ja“ beantworten. Der Roller ist gut verarbeitet, keine Spur von Klappern,Wackeln etc..
An der Ampel ist man gleichauf oder schneller mit den stinkenden Kollegen, die auch noch zusätzlich jede Menge Lärm machen. Die Bremsen greifen sehr gut und ich habe mich während jeder Fahrt sicher gefühlt. Wie gut man mit ca. 45 km/h im Verkehr mitschwimmen kann, merkt man daran, dass man an jeder zweiten Ampel jene Verkehrsteilnehmer trifft, die man auch schon vorher um sich hatte.
hört man den einen oder anderen Passanten sagen. Die gefühlte soziale Akzeptanz mit einem E-Roller ist deutlich höher als mit einem herkömmlichen, da man hinter sich eben keine smogartige Wolke hinterlässt und die Straße für die nächsten Minuten verpestet.Ist der elektrisch? Ich höre ja gar nichts!
Thema Reichweite
Angegeben ist der NIU mit 80 km, wir kennen ja schon die Verbrauchsangaben von den Automobilherstellern , die unter Bedingungen gemessen werden, die mir nicht mal im Traum begegnen. Also heisst es selber ausprobieren. Was kann passieren ausser Liegenbleiben und irgendwo um eine Steckdose betteln zu müssen?Fahrt 1, die „Bergige“: Tiergarten, Olympiastadion, die komplette Havelchaussee durch den Grunewald bergauf, bergab bis zum Kronprinzessinnenweg und mit einem kleinen Umweg wieder zurück. 45 km ohne Probleme und die Erkenntnis, dass der Roller bergauf sehr zügig beschleunigt und dank diverser Bremsvorgänge Energie zurückspeist.
Fahrt 2, „Strecke machen“: Tiergarten, Hauptbahnhof, Torstrasse, B1, Wulheide nach Biesdorf, kurz verfahren und die ersten 30 km bei sehr zügiger Fahrweise lagen hinter mir. 50% habe ich bereits elektrisch verbraucht und mich mit jedem gefahrenen Kilometer mit der Frage beschäftigt: Geht der Roller bei 0% einfach aus oder wird es eine Punktlandung? Nach 55 km, also 3 km vor der Haustür, schaltet der N1S bei 15% Akku auf Eco-Mode und erlaubt nur noch eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 17 km/h. Das ist nicht viel, aber besser als Liegenbleiben. Die restlichen 3 km lege ich dann langsam zurück und behalte am Ziel noch 12% Akkuleistung über.
Fast täglich habe ich den Roller genutzt, um berufliche, aber auch private Termine wahrzunehmen. Dabei blieb die tägliche Kilometerleistung meist immer unter 25 km am Tag.
Das 29 Ah-Akkupack wird in 6 Stunden komplett geladen, entweder direkt am Roller oder aber man nimmt das 10 kg Akkupack mit ins Büro.

Ein Bosch Motor mit 1500 W Nennleistung lässt den E-Roller ziemlich fix beschleunigen. Dank eines elektronischen geregelten Bremssystems wird beim Bremsen kinetische Energie in das System zurückgespeist. Dies wird dem Fahrer auch auf seinem Display visualisiert.

Der NIU N1S schlägt sich hervorragend im Alltagstest. Er ist zügig im Anzug, kann im Stadtverkehr sehr gut mitschwimmen und ist solide verarbeitet. Das Image der Reisschüssel ist zum Glück nicht mehr Status Quo. Das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis stufe ich als sehr gut ein. Die eigene App ist das i-Tüpfelchen.
